Political skirmishes bring with it delightful literary encounters that sort of define the crux of the conflict. A recent fallout from within an emerging political party in TN presented us with one such.
The horse in a marriage function tends to think of itself as a celebrity due to all the fanfare around it. Only when the groom dismounts, it realizes that all the attention was for the groom and not for it.

I thought of myself as Alexander's Horse that was saddled with an ideological drive. A revolutionary like Alexander knows the value of his horse and its criticality in warfare. It turns out that I was merely expected to carry a groom, a perfunctory assignment that I didn't sign up for.
